amici 30A Italian Kitchen, coming to 30Avenue this fall, introduced David Lee as beverage director of the new 2,600-plus square foot restaurant.
Originally from Buffalo, New York, Lee spent most of his life in Fort Lauderdale.
No stranger to the service industry, a number of years were spent working for a corporate super market. Although Lee enjoyed interacting with guests, he left the corporate world looking for a more relaxed industry. Since then he has gained more than 20 years of experience behind the bar, working everywhere from the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, North Carolina, to Weston Savannah and Hilton Head Island. Most recently, Lee enjoyed seven years with the Watersound Beach Club, which is where he met the Corchis family.
"I've known the family for years from the Beach Club," said Lee. "When I heard about what George, Amy and the kids were doing at amici 30A and seeing the buzz from social media I knew it was something I wanted to be a part of."
Lee will bring his experience and knowledge behind the bar to amici 30A Italian Kitchen. Cocktail selections will include vintage wines sold by the glass, a full bar, and a premium selection of craft, domestic and imported beers to complement the restaurant's signature dishes.
